Thoughts from a Bean Counter

Posted on July 15, 2012 By Jodi

It’s been a busy week.

First I must tell you about the most exciting part of it.  Thanks to my boss I was able to take the time to take my nephew to the airport on Friday.  He is in New York City at a convention for acting and modeling.  We, all of his family, are so proud of him. break a leg Matthew Darcey.

Coming in second was my book. Sorry to the writers out there, but I did make time for writing.  More specifically I made time for the editing. As mentioned in a previous post, it is three months until the Surrey International Writers Conference. It may be the last one I am able to go to for a while. My finances are curtailing my travels. It will not prevent me from writing and editing.

There was time this week to make a contribution to Grants Pass Kiwanis at the Grants Pass Josephine County Chamber of Commerce Concerts in the Park. I am proud to be a member of both these great organizations.

Finally the demands of my day job filled most of my time. I am lucky to work in a business where there is so much people contact. Not only does it give me the finances I need to pay my bills, it gives me a reason to get moving for the day.

My writing gives me the strongest reason to get up in the morning.
