This week is short by my day job standards. Work will be hectic, because of the holiday as well as other factors. I still need to find, or rather make time for my writing. Yesterday, I concentrated on my latest short story. That’s what I’ll dedicate The Creative Hour to, this week.
Looking at what’s going on thought the nation, it’s easy just to sit back and let fear overwhelm. That is not just fear for myself, but for also for those through out my country. Our so called leadership seem so much more concerned with their own self-importance rather than the well-being of those they are elected to represent.
Along with other concerns, fires in my state are making out door activities more difficult for many. Even this seems a little petty with the suffering of those in Houston. The loss of everything they own, leaves me sitting on the couch feeling guilty.
I am very lucky in so many ways, not the least of which is having a day job to go to each weekday. Add to that my writing and I have more than so many people.
With that thought, it’s time to get ready for my day job. Throughout the day I will spend time on my writing.
Keep the coffee flowing.
Respectfully submitted,
Jodi
