Still Working on A Short Story

Posted on December 27, 2017 By Jodi

I’ve been talking to my character for the short story I thought I was going to write for my latest contest. For now, It is just not coming together. Therefore I will resort to editing and building on another story that I have previously written.

Last week at my writers’ group I worked up the courage to bring this story for reading and feedback. I hadn’t been able to bring myself to even reread it at that point. As I suspected, the story does indeed need a lot of work. Well this week, it’s going to get it.

Today I got a real start on it during a break at my day job. Tonight I’m going to work on it for The Creative Hour. I think there’s something good here, but it is definitely a diamond in the rough.

There’s a lot of polishing and buffing to do before my writers’/critique group on Sunday. Only time will tell if I can find success.

I’ll report in later, to let you know what the results are.

Keep the coffee flowing.

Respectfully submitted,

Jodi
